Oh man, I was really hopeful about Amorim. I still am but this is an absolute momentum killer. I hope the job doesn’t break him before he has a chance to change it.

United have lost loads of games under Amorim because of stupid individual mistakes (Bruno and Onana today). The tide will turn.
IMO Amorim has come in thinking he can just apply his tactical model to any team, mid-season, and it’s a colossal mistake. We’d not be in this mess if Van Nistelrooy were still in charge. It’s too much, too soon, without the squad to do it. A shambles.

The increase in work rate across the team is stark. Very encouraging.
Can take a lot of positives from this tbh. In a time of transition, I think we saw some real tactical, work rate improvements, and real spirit... plus I'd rather lose today than Sunday

Crazy game. United dominated large periods and up considerably on xG so tactically we were correct again tonight. Further evidence of progress but need to stop the individual errors.

Amazing how much better United are already under Amorim, after 18 months of absolute dross. They’ve controlled this game, they just need to be wary from set pieces.
