Normally I wait until I finish reading to post a bit about the book I'm reading but this moment was too fucking good.

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. Not exactly an undiscovered gem but amazing to read.

I am not a proud man by nature but sometimes I'm just really satisfied with a dumb joke I made weeks ago and I take time to revisit it.

Sons: "Dad, what can we do on this 2-hour car ride?"

Been derelict in my reading reports.

-The Devils, Joe Abercrombie. I liked it well enough by the end, but I found the dialogue too quippy for my taste.

-Ancillary Justice, Ann Leckie. Man, it took me a while to get going but once I did I could not stop.

-When Gravity Fails, George Effinger. Ehh.

Finally escaped library hold purgatory and got to finish this guy. A vampire story set in 1978 NYC, and I think it's a total gem.

Been a bit since I posted a finished book, but in my defense the page count was a killer.

Lot of my friends were talking about the Stormlight Archive series so I checked it out. And, well... it wasn't for me.

I can say about The Way of Kings is the world-building/dollar ratio is high.

It's been a mad dash to get everything ready for my move, but I diiiid finally knock this off my reading list and I didn't even hate it.

Watching Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket.

I'm over halfway and while the depiction of war is on point, the depiction of pockets is lackluster.
