Don't you find it a net positive for humanity that those without access to an education, now have a tool that gives them a chance to learn and compete ?

Isn't encouraging self learning a positive ?

Genuinely curious. Why not? We don’t know one way or the other if a divestiture is in the works. Perhaps it is and he can attest to that.

Is it that the extension needs to be approved within the initial 270 day compliance period?

I’m not a fan of the guy or the ban by any means but the law does grant the president a 1 time extension of up to 90 days under some circumstances. www.congress.gov/bill/118th-c...

Scotus only upheld the law. The law itself allows the president to provide a one time extension up to 90 days under some circumstances www.congress.gov/bill/118th-c...

Your shark mate, Mr. Wonderful seems to think he can buy it for as little as 20b without the algo. The only thing I could think of is to license the user created content, perhaps for AI training. Thoughts?

Additionally, there is an odd clause I’ve yet to see anyone mention that excludes apps from this law “whose primary purpose is to allow users to post product reviews, business reviews, or travel information and reviews.”
January 14, 2025 at 4:11 AM
Yes and no. Only if the app has 20% or more ownership from a foreign adversary which currently includes China, Russia, and Iran. Additionally the president would need to deem the app a threat. www.congress.gov/bill/118th-c...

This. As well as restricts “Providing internet hosting services to enable the distribution, maintenance, or updating…” It also goes on to include specifically computing resources, file hosting, DNS, cloud, and VPS.

I agree with a lot in this thread. I always assumed the absence of a skip button was to force us to see that side of the art/story. However, maybe that isn’t true since there usually isn’t a replay function. I would be interested to hear @piratesoftware.live’s thoughts on this.
