What a pain for you. Glad you've been able to get some rather more decent quotes

Ooooo! St. Woolos. Mother cathedral of my childhood, and where I learned to play the organ.

Ouch! Have your pets passed into a different threshold agewise? I noticed when Alfie (ESS) turned 8, the price went up fairly dramatically. I stayed with my insurers (PetPlan) as they had whole life insurance, and he had a number of ongoing conditions. But worth shopping around if you can. Good luck

I had Xmas dinner with the vicar and his family one year. He had been gifted a turkey. We returned from Xmas morning service to find his aunt tearing the poor bird limb from limb as it was too big to fit in the oven. Then a cat got in and stole part of it. It was a memorable morning!

I was surprised but chuffed during lockdown, when we were all wearing masks, to be asked my age. (It must have been 30 years since I was last asked. Note to self - have youthful eyes)

Oh my, how unusual. She does look as though she's got a lot of paws to grow into. What a pretty girl

I missed it at the cinema, so glad that I finally got to see it albeit via streaming. Excellent.

Not too different from mine then. Dad's paternal side are part Huguenot, maternal side as Welsh as you can be.

My lovely Dad wouldn't have been here. His great great grandparents arrived from Holland (Huguenot ancestry) and Germany in the late C18th, and lived with many other immigrants in the area that now lies under St. Katharine Dock.
