Addie Berard at Penn State has a great writeup about our new Mars beaches paper. Zhurong rover GPR imaged what we interpret to be 1.3 km of buried prograding foreshore deposits. Most shoreline work must contend with billions of yrs of erosion - not here! Article links: sites.psu.edu/planetarysed...

To America’s 2.3 million federal employees:

Don’t accept a buyout.

Neither Musk nor even Trump has the legal authority to make such an offer.

And even if they did, would you trust them to follow through on it?

Sincerely,
Robert Reich

Stereonet pros, question for you! I have stereonets with a lot of blank space, like below. Does anyone ever make stereonets that don't show the entire hemisphere? Is that proper?? Can you even do that in matplotlib?

“Here's how the scholarly publishing scam works…”

Read this from Cory Doctorow to learn more, and understand why I don’t do work for Elsevier, the most hated member of the academic publishing cartel.

First post - Zach Baran wrapped his undergraduate thesis in December! It's about the preservation potential of shoreline features on Mars. Read about it here at our group's blog: sites.psu.edu/planetarysed...
