But then there's the pearl necklace that crushes this idea, there's house talis crest in a more delicate form. Probably Ximena's necklace but I'm not against her making this necklace specially for this

Also the colors not being from the house talis shows her wanting to affirm a separation between her in that night and the masculine persona she puts everyday. As to make light of the situation, trying to prove the point she's not taking it that seriously.

I chose it for Jayce bc I think she would be super excited for the gala and splurge on a custom gown instead of using an ill fitting second hand dress like most guys at the ball definitely did. And while a normal corset can be adjusted a stiff gown HAS to be custom made and I wanted to show that.
