In case someone is curious about the difference / what we did at the time, I left the old codes on my website for now benjaminmoll.com/codes/

Note: same problem as in "Monetary Policy According to HANK" benjaminmoll.com/HANK/
While we got the numerics to work at the time, we were never quite happy with them e.g. things could be unstable when changing parameters etc
Soroush and Patrick's algorithm clearly dominates and supersedes ours!

Want to solve heterogeneous-agent models with multiple endogenous state variables, say a multi-asset HANK model?
@soroushs.bsky.social and @patricksecon.bsky.social developed a much-improved finite-difference scheme for such problems: github.com/SSabet/Neste...
Also here benjaminmoll.com/codes/

Could some of this perhaps have to do with what people see in the media?
Like: "GERMANY IN RECESSION 😱" when GDP just shrunk by 0.3%
Or indeed this below ;-)
(To be clear: Germany is obviously stagnating and there are major problems, particularly more long-run and structural ones)

So proud of my PhD student Kotia and his partner Utkarsh who have been fighting for the legalization of same-sex marriage in front of the Indian Supreme Court. They lost the battle but will win the war.
Huge congratulations on your engagement, Kotia and Utkarsh!
