Pure powder coming down! It’s been snowing pretty heavy this afternoon but with small flakes with such low temps. It’s blowing and drifting but guesstimate about 4in so far in SW MO. #MOwx

My Speculation: Maybe the helo’s ATC confirmation they had traffic in sight was a reference to traffic lined for Runway 1 & they didn’t see AA5342 lined for 33 coming from their up & left peripheral. Night flying VFR so CRJ’s lights could be obscured in city lights backdrop. 1/

Very cool to see Amtrak gift cards in the local grocery store. I wish they were more widespread at stores. (They are available online via Amtrak)

Neighborhood examples like the Clarendon also highlight the other issue in a lot of American cities- lack of midrise development. Development is fairly dense right along the corridor of main roads and subway but within a very short walk/only a block or two, density drops to single family homes.
