I have stupid ideas sometimes
Biweekly lab business meetings and data highlights? I'm assuming there's probably a few logistics issues that need to be worked out as a group in a new lab.

Hope things are going well at Minnesota!

Can't you just... Bring your phone downstairs before you request the verification code?

I actually have written 10,000 words of it! A prologue and some of the first chapter. Most of that was written one weekend 3 or 4 weekends ago.

Since then I've only written a few extra hundred words every few days.

I'm so glad I graduated college before AI became widely used for that exact reason. I didn't have to prove to anyone that my work wasn't done by AI. The worst I had to worry about was someone (wrongly) thinking I plagiarized

When I was still in high school in the 2010s, a classmate of mine asked a teacher "Why do we have to learn all this stuff if you can just Google it?" I can only imagine AI is doing to kids' thinking skills what Google did to kids' motivation to learn things by heart

I realize they're caricatures, but at the same time, so is someone like Superman. I wanted to *try* to be as close to these characters in their level of competence as possible; they gave me something to aspire to be like.

That's the one thing that drew me to her characters (when I was younger) - their sheer competence. In Fountainhead the main character develops a basic version of calculus while building a rope and pulley system when he was a kid.
