Cairns. Australia. Wife. Son. Dog. Beer. Wine. Food. Sports. Electricity. Wind Power? I'm a big fan. Not the biggest fan of the LNP tho.

I'm not paying for a subscription, but I reckon the options could be "raise", "hold", and "lower"....

Kinda cool how after a whole bunch of "get out of the cities and see what the people in rural communities REALLY want" gaslighting from the LNP during The Voice referendum, we got the Nats leader saying that getting back 1 (one) Inner City seat is reason enough to keep pushing nuclear.

Nothing says "i genuinely care about the future of the world for our children" quite like having the miserable old hag, who is fighting her own kids in court, telling us to double down on Trump shit.

Guess we can keep a tally here, Peter?

My local LNP candidate seems to think he'll just walk into the seat left vacant by the exceptionally mediocre Warren Entsch.

On the left of Matt Smith is Independent Norman Miller.

Lol. Give it a rest you clown. There's the result of the "scenes" that were required to build the Mt. Emerald wind the farm in FNQ. The footprint required for 53 turbines is fuck all compared to the amount of land cleared for agricultural farming land nearby.

Yes, these words all arranged in this order are something that comes as a "shock" to the Herald Sun.

I try and stay away from stereotyping people, however I can't help but think the age profile of plenty of people in the audience here for Alex would suggest a significant portion of them would have voted for Tehan in elections gone by...

Love the big game they talk after the fact though

"... And then the YU-KRAYYY-nean President was very nasty, and he asked a lot of nasty questions. And alot of those nasty questions were related to my T-shirt, and I thought those nasty questions were already answered by my T-shirt... And, uhhhh....it was very disrespectful by him..."

Why do I get the feeling that the opinions of these demographics are going to be heavily weighted based on what the outcomes are?

As for cropping ground, here's a satellite pic of the Murra Warra Wind Farm.

Turbine, access roads, and hard stand take up negligible amounts of real estate, especially when the amount of money landholders are paid until their rental agreements are factored in.

Next time you hear Dutton trying to talk about Energy Policy, remember the time he was trying to give the standard shithouse "solar doesn't work when it's not sunny" talking point whilst there was a blinding glare coming off his head.

Think I was pretty close... Did he pivot to the other points I predicted, or do you not read his horseshit beyond the headline either?

"Nah, there were probably only like 30 or so people tops causing problems, the rest was a set up and they were literally given a tour"

One of my favourite things about 2024 was seeing the return of Limp Bizkit. Not so much from a musical perspective, but to see the juxtaposition of a Fred Durst who misplaced his final fuck to give, and Wes Borland's unwavering commitment to the bit.
