A good price tag, but looks like a flexible and versatile amp with a pretty small footprint when pit space is always at a premium.

These are very "guided notes" style, but I can assign them through Google Classroom and provide students with more skill and drill practice, part-writing exercises, melodic and harmonic dictation, etc. - should they be interested in getting a 5 on the exam.

College Board does have a comprehensive set of AP Daily Videos that accompany every unit of the curriculum:

—think "How to build a major scale using the W-W-H-W-W-W-H pattern" or "How to build the 4 types of triads" type tutorials.

I made a 1-2 page study guide for every video in the curriculum.

- writing a melody, then using different chord progressions/chord extensions, harmonize the melody in different genres (stylistic differences),

- arranging a pop song for a 4-part harmony ensemble (choral, string quartet, etc.) in an SATB format - same theory "rules", but with modern application.

Ear training (aural skills) could include:

- transcribing melodies by ear (a pop song hook, a fiddle tune, a jazz standard, etc.),

- figuring out the chord progression to [X] song, then writing out a lead sheet using the Nashville number system (a la Tom Bukovac),

Hot take - but I’m here for it.

ChatGPT might be the Guy Fawkes needed for schools and states to look in the mirror at what we spend 8+ hours a day “doing.”

Music teachers will probably double down on “the canon” but what else is new!

Do you script them? Rough outline, but with some spontaneity?

I like their overall pace/length. Recent swing episode has been one of my favorites so far - great musical examples.

I think you're right. I wish journals had podcasts of the author reading their article.

Great podcast episodes!
