You don’t need to follow me just because we were mutuals on Twitter. I won’t be offended. Seems like this account is mostly me getting in dumb arguments which I wouldn’t want to read either.

Hello BlueSky! Here is something new many of you will hate. I’m doing a new podcast with Josh Barro and Megan McCardle about how centrism is good. www.centralairpodcast.com/p/welcome-to...

The new Superman film is pro-immigrant, but it definitely isn’t woke. It’s a defense of assimilation. open.substack.com/pub/bendreyf...

This genuinely might be the funniest screenshot I’ve ever seen in my entire life.

A dumb American user trying to impress his new friends on the chinese app by apologizing to them for nuking Japan? Beautiful.

There are so many levels to it that are funny hahaha

This is the good shit

Here is someone calling me a faggot the second I joined the site. Here is someone making jokes about my brother’s sexual abuse.

When I joined BlueSky a month ago I instantly got all these messages calling me a faggot. I then was successfully bullied off and logged out of the app. I remembered my password this week and would like to point out that I am still getting this

One of the reasons the left shouldn’t try to gin up a civil war is that they’re going to run out of bullets super quickly if they’re putting two in @jessesingal.com’s chest AND one in his forehead.

Right around the time I logged onto this site and was instantly called a faggot

I admit that Twitter is in certain ways worse since Musk bought it but it has improved in two ways: 1) a lot of the most annoying people left and moved here, and 2) I now randomly get paid money once in a while for tweets I was already sending

I kept checking BlueSky the last few days sporadically and being like “seems like all these maniacs have stopped complaining about me” and honestly I sort of lost interest, but I just realized it’s because I had turned on this mute. It’s off now and I see you have all continued

This is absurd lol. The chart in this video ends in 2020 because wealth inequality actually went down immediately after that, aka in the period relevant to this election

white college educated men like myself are the only demo that swung towards Kamala. We’re all very frustrated with the minorities and women. Please come to my tedtalk

Sounds like you haven’t googled “polls trans sports” because here are the first four results

Here are some of the many times I said that Kamala didn’t lose because of it tonight. You are more than welcome to read the entire substack article I wrote about it last week if you would like further proof

It took a little longer—maybe an hour?—for someone to Google my family and make jokes about my brother’s sexual abuse
November 18, 2024 at 3:35 AM
I was called a faggot almost instantly yesterday but sure yeah I’m sure the whole place is champagne and strawberries

Indeed, even in December 1963 (after Kennedy was killed, after LBJ called for the passage of the civil rights act) among white people only, majorities nationally did not support support a law banning the practice.
November 18, 2024 at 2:20 AM
But more interesting than the top line number is the demographic breakout. Though the top line majority was pretty similar between 1958-1963, support in the north declined bc of uneducated white northers, compensated by an increase in south college graduate whites
November 18, 2024 at 2:12 AM
It’s more complex than you’re making it out to be. The top line number of whites saying they wouldn’t move was roughly flat between 1958-193, but it was already a majority. It increased dramatically after the Civil Rights Act passed…
November 18, 2024 at 2:10 AM
I’m reading this research paper from 1967 about public opinion changes on civil rights and they do this statistically suspect thing where they extend the trends to estimate what year demographics will get woke.

White HS dropouts in the south will be willing to live next to a black person in 2040
November 18, 2024 at 1:10 AM
That’s a totally misleading stat of just white people. The civil rights act and the voting rights act were broadly popular nationally by the time they actually were passed
