I think a lot about how the Internet and cell phones (and constant information streams) broke our brains. I suspect not masking was about the anxiety of dying and Internet jerks making money elevated that to art.

Yeah I'm much more likely to rewatch the first three agreed. I would also like to see aliens in much different contexts! I re remember fondly the Dark Horse comics doing a good job of finding interesting places in terms of environment and people to toss a xenomorph or two.

I don't disagree with this and yet ... I enjoyed the movie? In the way that any genre can mix and match tropes and new characters (Andy!) in satisfying (if imperfect) ways.
