It is time to figure out my kids' Christmas lists. Also they are terrrible at Christmas lists. They fill them with stuff they have outgrown and will never use. So then we have to read tea levels for actual stuff they might love. Like soothsaying.

My guess is the next four years are going to be stupid and harmful to the most vulnerable. But I also suspect most sky is falling predictions are way way off. I suspect the motivation is largely greed and not grand evil. This is not our first stupid corrupt administration by a long shot.

I love Star Trek vibes but have never loved Star Trek! And I don't even know why!
Six decades later, Star Trek may still be the only franchise based on the ideas that diversity is strength, justice is the measure of civilization, bounty is to be shared, peace is worth the price, and all these things can be achieved.

Here is my not helpful election hot take: I suspect that most explanations for the outcome are bad. I also strongly suspect that elections are determined by a complex set of forces driving turn out and decision making. It is not one single factor at all.

Sometimes I think how overwhelming I feel just trying to enjoy stuff. Having coffee, picking a wine, getting a beer - it all feels wrapped in rules and guarded by half baked experts. It's paralyzing!
