Been waiting for this from @maklelan.bsky.social for a while. Thanks, Dan, for helping us so much with your challenging, thoughtful, and articulate words. It’s been foundational to deconstructing my own relationship with the Bible and Christianity.

This is why the facts always matter. Engaging as a citizen cannot happen when you are getting a 1% sample.
There are 33m companies in the USA. Only 21k employe 500 or more. And they only make up 23% of workers.

Trump and Elon are ignoring the more than 32m entrepreneurs that can't afford to build a new factory or pay tariffs or absorb cancelled contracts.

This is how it's done.
Cory Booker as he breaks Strom Thurmond's speaking record: "I'm not here because of his speech. I'm here despite his speech. I'm here because as powerful as he was, the people are more powerful."

This photograph was taken two days ago at the FBI Academy in Quantico and submitted to the NYT under the condition of anonymity.

If a picture is usually worth a thousand words, this one is worth millions.

At the very least people need to realize that government employees do things like “make sure planes don’t collide” and that firing them all is bad!
➡️ January 20: FAA director fired
➡️ January 21: Air Traffic Controller hiring frozen
➡️ January 22: Aviation Safety Advisory Committee disbanded
➡️ January 28: Buyout/retirement demand sent to existing employees
➡️ January 29: First American mid-air collision in 16 years
