We (white people) have lived in a world curated specifically for our tastes at the expense of POC. Taking time to learn how what you said or did was racist is YOUR job. You can't expect someone else to educate you.

You can be racist without being explicitly racist. If your initial reaction to being called racist is to get mad and say you're not, you're not doing the work.
