You are fortunate! I loved working with my dad. I started helping him as soon as I could walk. We built so many things together, I went to law school to practice with him. Yesterday was the 7th anniversary of his passing, I still miss him a lot. Glad my kids enjoy working with me now!

I went to Willamette University, and the commencement speaker was a friend of the University President, and the speaker STILL got it wrong. So the student speaker followed and made a point to say “it’s Willamette, dammit” to everyone’s applause.

Bravo! My fiancé coaches for (and runs) Enid Impact. I’ve been to a few tournaments with her, and even the best players screw up a serve every now and then. 25 in a row deserves to be celebrated!

For the future, maybe get a front & rear dash cam. Aggressive people do crazy things, and you can’t trust cops, but video is pretty hard to argue with. Dash cam is a lifesaver if this (or some other) jerk tries to run you off the road or stage an auto collision. I’m a lawyer, I will always have one.

I asked my kids to let me know if their teachers really do it, and gave them permission to laugh at their teachers if it actually happens.

What USED to be Cici’s in Enid is now a liquor store. It has an actual name, but I will forever refer to it as “Cici’s Pizza & Liquor”, and I suspect that serving booze in the quantity and quality of the pizza would’ve been a great business. Garlic bread and cheap tequila shots for everyone!

I abandoned Twitter when Threads launched, but just never seemed to find the same community that I had on old-Twitter back in the day. I finally joined Bluesky today and found lots of my favorite people from OKC-Twitter! I hope it can reach that critical mass of usage to be fun.
