“Fear dims when you learn things.” -Alys, Lois Lowry, Son.
It’s really loss of time that can’t made up. It’s like lost sleep. You don’t really catch up because you can’t ever get it back. Students experienced gaps in learning but expectations and many processes remained the same and it’s simply unrealistic.

I had tagged about 10 yrs of 20 worth of photos with a taxonomy of my own making when I got derailed for 7+ years. When I finally made time to get back to it, the feature I had been using to tag my files had been removed by Microsoft. All photos are in one big file that takes forever to load. 😭

At the end of the day, the public facing/password protection really doesn’t address the core issue of book banning attacks. It’s merely a chance at some protections against efforts like this site. In an ideal world, we wouldn’t have to even think about closing our catalogs off from public searches.

Really? That’s interesting

Librarians can take steps to password protect access to resources. My students need to be logged into their student accounts to access any of their school stuff. I’m not certain if my catalog is searchable or not, so I’m going to check tomorrow.
