That was one of the hardest parts of reconstructing a malconstructed faith... The realization that the people I most respected had lied to me, to themselves, and to God. Their houses had been built on sand, and they still haven't figured it out.

It's true, your writing is critically important, but you're also a really good writer. Your writing style flows, and the reader doesn't need to double-back to make sense of it. I really appreciate that about your writing, and since nobody has commented on this post yet, I thought I'd let you know:)
