Yesterday, after consuming a deluge of information about USAID funding cuts, I was troubled, and I wanted to go to sleep to something peaceful, so I decided to read a Psalm. I said, "Alexa, pick a number between 1 and 150." She picked 14. Here's one of its verses:

CNN and FOX were side by side on the tv screens at the gym, and I gotta say, FOX is some seriously mean-spirited shizz. The visual contrast was jarring. Seriously, if this is what half of America consumes without stopping to process it, we are doomed. Hate is on the menu, and people are eating it up

Anti-intellectualism is not of God. If you believe he's real, all-knowing, and all-powerful, you shouldn't be afraid of the search for truth. Higher Ed is not your boogeyman. The folks who want you ignorant are your boogeyman. How big is your God that you have to defend him at every new discovery?

As a prof, I'm fact-checked all the time. I can't write or engage in conversations w/out citing quality sources. Say, I tell my colleagues that the local school is giving kids puberty blockers upon kids' request. Colleagues would say, "Wow, that can't be right." They'd ask for evidence. But... 1/4
