When I had my citizenship interview, I was asked three civics questions.
The first one was: Who is above the law?
I answered: No one, not even the president, is above the law.
I passed the interview.

All of you all saying “the Democrats should do this, the Democrats should do that:” are you a registered Democrat? If you are, you are “the Democrats!” Some Democrats are elected to office, but all Democrats have skin in this game. Don’t like what you are seeing? Get in the game!

This is a great idea. Do you know anyone in Congress you can talk to?
Congress must take action to restore the rule of law.

There is a lot of horrifying stuff going on right now, but yesterday I saw someone clean their glasses with windex and a paper towel and if that’s not a sign of the imminent apocalypse I don’t know what is.

My one constructive criticism on BlueSky, as a community: we need to “like” less and “retweet” more. In the absence of an algorithm, that’s the way we find each other and reward good content.

I think the tally has now just hit 30 senior appointees by Trump in his previous or current Administration who worked at Fox, which seems to be the most important qualification for the most senior positions in the US government under Trump.

Fun fact: Dr Oz's family business received the largest ICE fine in U.S. history for engaging in a scheme to hire undocumented immigrants.

He's now getting a job in the administration that wants to carry out the largest deportation in history.

It was a 49% to 48% election.

Fascism won by a hair.

And it took Russian and MAGA bomb threats, a hoax regarding battleground-state police raids, an illegal Musk-funded lottery, $600M given to Trump by just 15 people, Netanyahu meddling in our politics, and Democrats staying home for it to happen.

Trump is officially under a majority with a 1.7% margin.
Hardly a mandate. I know the GOP will claim one and he will act like it is one. If Dems run the gauntlet in the House they will have a one vote margin at risk by Trump's cabinet appointments.

The rest of you, thanks for the follows! You rock! Following back as many as I can.

Sri Lanka tried RFK Jr.'s food plan, and it was catastrophic. Productivity plummeted, causing food shortages, skyrocketing prices, lost exports, and an economic collapse. Farmers faced huge losses, forcing the government to reverse the ban and import costly emergency food.
