I'm a life-long Chicagoan. Watching videos of what the American government is doing to our city, attacking our people...it's very uncomfortable. Hurts. The government is shutdown, over healthcare, but ICE and DHS are in full force attacking the people like it's war time. Unfathomable.

I sure do hope that Iran means that they hold the current administration responsible. Leave us Blue areas out of it. This is not our circus.

It is going to be an exhausting four years but I was at an event Saturday in Chicago where some 200 people showed up ready to take action and fight back. That's reassuring. It's a long game to save democracy so let's all pace ourselves.
