I have recently stumbled upon the Irish poet W.B Yeats. I wasn't really looking for a new poet to read but once I started reading his work I couldn't put it down. His works are simple in word and structure but they convey a rich description of senses. Highly recommend looking him up

There is nothing that pisses me off more than having to go to tech support for an issue I could fix if my company laptop wasn’t so locked down.

Last year my hometown got hit with the worst tornado in living memory. Its scars will be seen in NWA for years to come. But hey this seems like a great time to fire all those competent meteorologists at NOAA.

Way back in the simple times of the early 2ks I saw a RaidMax case at Circuit City. That thing changed my entire view on PCs, No longer did they have to be boring black boxes. I was so excited to find the new old stock Blackstorm at a thrift store.

De-Corporatizing goals
- IM done. Moved completely to Signal and iMessage
- OS technically done 3 years ago. Completely transitioned to Linux
- Email done. Ditched Gmail for Proton and custom domain
- Social Mostly done. Deleted IG and X. Still on FB for anti ICE and protesting.

Rescued a 2012 MacBook Air with @system76.bsky.social amazing PopOS. It’s crazy what Linux can do even on older hardware. And of course it needed a tux sticker!

Sitting here at my desk at work staring at this old floppy I hung up and it occurred to me: man it would be funny to send these with an event invite with the date and time on the label as a “save” the date insert.

Selling this weird old beast for a friend. Its a great idea (I think) but they way Logitech went about it is decidedly weird. A little googling and man turns out I might be in the minority that wants haptics in mice.

Of all the computers I’ve ever owned, this little mid 2009 MacBook has probably been one of the most consistently useful. It just doesn’t quit. I had to deal with some malware on a family members computer and my trusty E6430 finally died but this little Mac + TestDisk saved the day!

Sigh
I guess I either download freaking Opera for 1 use or don't use Netflix on my PC.
@netflix.com Its 2025 between the SteamDeck and @microsoft.com 's stupidly harsh Win11 system requirements and shoving unwanted AI down our throats, people are moving to Linux. Get with the freaking program!

One of the worst trends I have seen in tech this decade has been the move of the the power button to the keyboard. STOP
