So it can be done! Good stuff. Though today I think they're all in the warm sun on the hill rather than the shady stand!

We’ve got a plan for ALM too but agree that there is no reason to believe ALW can’t be as big or bigger.

To be fair there’s a lot of ins and outs there.

But they should have made her more prominent if she’s earning $15k-$27k per week, as it says here in the game.

Booted it up and had a flick through ALW squads to look at the salaries and values. Baumann at CCM was on about $800k. Good for her if true!

That’s kinda already happened, over time. And our new ALW report (out soon) will show that the league got younger again in 2024-25.

Tonight we've also released a short explainer video backing up that claim. It's just over BSky's 3min limit so you have to click through to Insta to watch.

Fear not, I'll post some screenshots below.

What if we told you investing in a full-time A-League Women competition would pay for itself 𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲? 🤔

We explain how this is possible and why it’s an opportunity the game simply can’t pass up.

The A-League Women minimum wage has fallen behind all the other Australian sports, even though football is the only one with all these special revenue opportunities! There's ROI to be had!

Our conclusion - as Beau says on the pod - is that there's just not enough focus on it by the powers that be.

Last but not least, our market research has found that fans follow progress. People want to watch women's sport when it values women. Fully pro ALW players can invest time engaging with fans rather than running to a second job.

A relatively small investment would have a big bums on seats effect.

FIFA World Cup Club Benefits. If FIFA closes the gender gap even slightly, the women's pot could be $100m+.

Full-time pro ALW would develop, attract, and retain many more international level players (Matildas and otherwise) than a semi-pro ALW, so there's a significant financial return here too.
