In the U.S. - the richest country in the world - children are more likely than adults to live in poverty: in 2023, 15.3% of children were under the poverty threshold, while 9.7% of people ages 65 and over were. Sad that we don't take care of our own.

The Ed Department says it's giving states the after-school funding it unlawfully froze.
That’s about $36m of the $165m in education funding they froze for NC.
We'll see them in court for the rest.
