Really enjoyed our conversation, thanks @pitzeglide.bsky.social
I recently sat down with Julien Nioche @begemoth.bsky.social, the creator of StormCrawler, for a wide-ranging conversation about his journey and the future of tech.

Those days, Julien has pivoted from crawling to something critical: Green Software and GreenOps.

Finally visited Wistman wood (or rather looked into it from a respectful distance). Enough to see some nice examples of lychen.
Not the most spectacular temperate #rainforest but probably the best known one in this country.

So if I undertlstsnd correctly, I can't use my rights to protest against climate inaction or genocide in Palestine but it's totally OK to be racist, xenophobic and incite to violence?

Working on a commission. Hadn't worked with walnut for quite a while, I love the smell of it and its look even more.

Il y a moins de 3 ans, personne n'utilisait ChatGPT. Aujourd'hui, c'est semble-t-il devenu indispensable pour des millions de Français. Mais à quel prix ?

"Killed by a SUV driver" would be a more accurate title.

Unbelievably sad. Brent was a unique musician, one whose sound you recognise straight away and who could not be put in a box.

Farewell genius, I'll play you loud as fuck all day.

@rspb.bsky.social was enjoying your magazine until I got to this advert. How do you manage to lament the degradation of the natural environment and the impact this has on wildlife and at the same time do the promotion of one of the most polluting and disruptive mode of travel?

@proton.me I like what I'm reading about privacy and putting people first in your products.
Not seeing much on your environmental impact though. Can you share data about your carbon footprint as a whole and mine as a user?

How do you ensure a nation fails to cope with drought? Privatise its water system.

Almost everyone wants our water renationalised. Almost everyone, that is, except the government.

This week's column.

In its refusal to nationalise water, it’s clear the government operates in the interests of private capital and not of the country, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

So the UK Met Office is inviting people to suggest up to 5 names for storms.

And apparently lots of people have been suggesting "Storm Bigoil", along with BP, Equinor, Exxon & Shell...

This is obviously appalling & definitely not to be emulated via this link: www.metoffice.gov.uk/forms/name-o...

My faith in humanity was restored this week by this wonderful person who sends #seeds on an open source basis and doesn't ask for payment: just that you either swap, donate or pay it forward. Got wild garlic, will try to harvest seeds and pass them on.
