Here's two pictures of one of my works at the Museum Kesselhaus Herzberge in Lichtenberg. These iron stairs, now a sculptural remnant, were the perfect stage for my steel sculptures, combined in this case with cut fibre-reinforced vinyl. I'm there this Saturday from 2-6. Come for a visit!

I am in a group show at the Museum Kesselhaus Herzberge--a late 19th century steam powerplant used to heat the Königin Elisabeth Herzberge Hospital. We will be exhibiting among these industrial machines: www.museumkesselhaus.de/kesseltechni... and the opening is on September 13th at 6pm!

So the acoustics of a people-filled thoroughfare at the Akademie der Künste wasn't perfect, but it was still thrilling to hear Arnold Dreyblatt on electro and Werner Durand on self-made wind instruments last night.

Last night was the opening of "Godspeed in 4/4 Time," a show by artist/composer William Engelen, in which we also have a collaborative video. Tomorrow at 7:30 pm an hour-long concert in the St. Matthäus Kirche, Berlin, with Robyn Schulkowsky, Evi Filippou (pictured in the photos), and Marius Wankel.

Drawing is not self-expression but can push beyond the self and redefine one's boundaries as an artist and also as a person. Lines and threads can always be redrawn! This is what my one-week intensive is about at @berlinartinstitute.bsky.social this June, who just joined blue sky. Welcome!

Art as such doesn't ensure a fair and open discursive space. It must be reread and redefined with each generation, whose conditions of thinking and feeling are embedded in new material and social contexts. This was the concern behind this cut book work: 'Ulysses' (2024).
