Well regardless, the “inspiration” thing IS becoming a problem for creatives with corporations filing cease and desist as well as copyright claims. And they’re simply using the IPs name being used in relation to the product’s inspiration as their reasoning.

It used to just happen to Etsy stores.

Just don’t mention the inspirations and you’ll be fine. lol

But seriously, they’re going after everyone. Ever since Taylor Swift was able to get permanent royalties to one of Olivia Rodrigo’s songs because Olivia made the mistake of saying she was inspired by Taylor, corps have been extra litigious

Seems everyone saw Taylor Swift’s lawyers successfully sue Olivia Rodrigo for saying a Swift song inspired her to write another song and now they want in on the action.

I’ve seen a few authors and merch designers have their products blocked from being able to sell their products online because they said something like “inspired by ____” but clearly having nothing to do with the mentioned IP other than the mention of the IP.

That was the thing, they weren’t failing! They were able to reduce to monsters difficulty, while also giving themselves advantage. I was kind of proud really, they really learned to work together and not focus much on everyone attacking.

So in the future, I’ll be scaling up encounters a bit.
