I mostly hate counterfactuals, but if England had taken a 3-0 lead, even in home conditions, missing Stokes for the first two Tests, Root for the third and Archer out for the series, while losing a senior opener or world-class spinner mid-Tests, they'd all be on the brink of knighthoods. #Ashes 🏏

As entertaining as England 2-2 India was in the summer (and two Tests were very close;coulda gone 3-1 either way),neither are the quality of SA-Aus (who contested the WTC Final a few weeks earlier at Lords)!And in all likelihood are going to square off again at Lords in ~18M time
