That is “their” general state… so deeply unhappy with their own lives and mad at anyone who is happy (especially people with notably less wealth, which for Elon is everyone).

He truly views it as their house. Just a little marital dispute about their renovation. Not a speck of historical appreciation or respect. No awareness that it’s not his. Not shocking. Still infuriating.

For all the far right commentary on alpha males, you know who probably gets consistently laid the most right now… millennial Dads that unload the dishwasher. The early 2000s college men that actually viewed their girlfriend as an equal member of society are some of the most stable marriages ever.

Don’t underestimate the rage women who actually have lived the American dream (athletics and music lessons, got a college degree, married someone that actually thinks they’re an equal member of society, bought the 4 bedroom) feel for these loser weirdos trying to take it from their 2.5 kids.

And may his Comms team be scheduling Dem trainings as we speak. Maybe his exact message isn’t transferable everywhere, but the style sure is if you live in the year 2025.

If you can throw in a few cans of dog or cat food, do. So many people turn over their loved animals because they can’t feed them and themselves at once.

His comms people need to be training Dems at scale starting yesterday.

Struggling to word this correctly. This country has not lived up to its promise for many people. Those people can sometimes be compelled to continue to vote to change that. BUT people that have lived the dream promised, & then witnessed it be shredded for their kids are going to be the most intense.

Hoping that if Mamdani and Spanberger both win with plenty of breathing room that the take away is “know your constituents and have strong comms”. We really don’t have to pick one over the other as the “new direction of the party” because they’re not trying to get elected in the same place.

Yeah, this is how rival football coaches speak… not governments that are for the people, by the people. They’ve completely lost the plot.

When you know lots of people that have different characteristics and life experiences than you, you can see them as people. When you only interact with a small group of people with similar traits/ lived experiences, you can be more easily manipulated into thinking they’re “bad”.

Just finished this episode. I can see why you had Harry back. He was insightful, thoughtful, and I learned a lot about the view from inside NYC in regards to this local race that has national interest.

Still seems like most voters do not understand that inflation going down doesn’t mean prices go down. It means prices rise at a slower pace. They voted for something that was never going to happen without a serious recession.

He’s doing something right over there. Any given day you can get top notch investigative reporting (see NFL union or Clippers owner stories) or random chats with interesting people like Mina. Something for everyone.
