Struggling to word this correctly. This country has not lived up to its promise for many people. Those people can sometimes be compelled to continue to vote to change that. BUT people that have lived the dream promised, & then witnessed it be shredded for their kids are going to be the most intense.

Hoping that if Mamdani and Spanberger both win with plenty of breathing room that the take away is “know your constituents and have strong comms”. We really don’t have to pick one over the other as the “new direction of the party” because they’re not trying to get elected in the same place.

When you know lots of people that have different characteristics and life experiences than you, you can see them as people. When you only interact with a small group of people with similar traits/ lived experiences, you can be more easily manipulated into thinking they’re “bad”.
