I've finished this month's Point Horror and I'm now reading the bonus book for this month. I used to have a few of the BTVS books back in the day. So this will be a fun & quick re-read.

I'm reading the Point Horror book for the month. Yet more babysitter based scares 🤣
I'm loving the nostalgia though.

Currently reading....
Further babysitter terror. I think at this point that Jenny and her friends should find an alternative job. 🤣

I realise I hadn't posted this. My little happy face!
I met Joe Hill last week at Waterstones in Cambridge. He signed his new novel, Heart Shaped Box and Basketful of Heads for me.
I think my expression tells you how happy I was. 🤣

Last night was the last of the 4 book events I had tickets for. My husband & I really enjoyed hearing Ned talk about all things cycling & what next now there is no free coverage of TDF.
Meeting Joe Hill this week was awesome. I've got 3 new books for my TBR. Where to start!?

What an absolute treat it was today to hear @spookypurcell.bsky.social talk about her about new book and all things gothic. Especially in the wonderful Dragon Hall, such a gorgeous venue.
I can't wait to read House of Splinters. Laura is so lovely & she liked my spooky top. 👻

My brother and I had a fantastic evening last night, we were fortunate enough to get tickets for @peteralanross.bsky.social here in little ol' Norwich. It was great to see how much my brother enjoyed it, a new author for him. I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into the new book. ❤️

November will mark the 6 month mark since my op. Hard during to recovery to imagine being at this point. Back to 4 times a week in the gym, moving near enough the same weight I was pre-op. My new PT is fantastic, he's pushing me, being careful where needed.

I finished reading The Books of Blood (vol 4-6)
I decided to read something a bit different, which comes highly recommended.
October 14, 2025 at 7:12 PM
I'm still reading the excellent stories in The Books of Blood by Clive Barker.
I'm not sure what I'll pick up after this, I'll see what calls to me!

This squirrel isn't sharing.
October 8, 2025 at 8:44 PM
I've decided I'm going to read The Forbidden from the excellent Books of Blood as my next read.
I finished Coup de Grace last night. A very unusual little book!
October 8, 2025 at 6:36 PM
Today I opted for spooky viewing from my youth.
Are You Afraid of the Dark? The Tale of the Ghastly Grinner.
October 7, 2025 at 6:10 PM
Last night's spoopy viewing with my daughter. We both love Hocus Pocus!
October 6, 2025 at 8:16 PM
A small pick up this week from the excellent Abstract Sprocket. The end of the month does seem to be quieter for me on the comic front.
Smaller pickup but fantastic books again this week. 😍
October 5, 2025 at 4:01 PM
I started reading Coup de Grace yesterday, and I may well finish it today.
I decided to read some of the novellas in my TBR as they've been overlooked for too long.
October 5, 2025 at 2:29 PM
Velvet is still keeping me company.
She's very much a lap cat today.
October 4, 2025 at 3:03 PM
Happy Caturday from Velvet, she's come to lurk with me as I don't feel well.

First of the month and first spooky film too.
The excellent Arrow Video release of Candyman.
Sweets to the sweet....

Currently reading Crypt of the Moon Spider.
I've seen this praised a lot by various book/horror accounts I follow.

I need to get ready for the gym, but Velvet is currently using my leg as a pillow.

I finished House of Bones late last night. So I now need to pick my next book, something spooky I feel. 🤔
September 29, 2025 at 7:38 AM
I finished Halloween Night 2 last night.
It's not my favourite Point Horror, but it was fun.
Now I'm reading House of Bones by Graham Masterton. I read this a lot in my teens, looking forward to seeing if I still enjoy it as much as I did!
September 28, 2025 at 4:06 PM
I finished reading Guilty today, a fun return(ish) to Nightmare Hall. I've decided to get ahead & read the October book & bonus book. Halloween Night 2 & House of Bones. I remember borrowing House of Bones a lot from the library in my teens. Looking forward to reading it again.
September 25, 2025 at 7:45 PM
I'm catching up on Point Horror, I finished The Girlfriend by RL Stine this weekend. Now onto this month's book, Nightmare Hall. Guilty. By Diane Hoh.
