Currently creating a RPG farming game with a witchy twist (oh so creative, lol) with Godot & Aseprite
2 weeks ago i discovered obsidianMD and in proper AuDHD fashion went full hyperfocus, moved all my game-related scribbles and notes over and customized the vault to my needs, lol. loving it so far!
Back to gamedev now! :D

decided to move the categories to the other side. having to move across the whole screen to change a category was bad UX, lol. Going to work more on the item object and its placement before i finish up the menu though.

aaand another update :) starting to look like something! there's still some minor bugs that need fixing, i want to add another "window" to display item details and i'm still unsure about the layout (but that can be changed at any time)

Progress on my catalog system! I'm completely unsure how the GUI will end up looking, i honestly can't decide. But the basics are there! The (sub-)categories are currently generated based on folder structure :)
Now onto updating the theme to actually look nice!

update on the smooth foldable container :) I think i fixed most of the bugs, but i'm gonna take a break from it and focus a little on assets before i'll add more features.
I think the coolest thing so far is being able to see the tweens in editor ♥️

wanted the folding in and out to be smooth, so i made my own control. there's some reparenting magic going on just to keep my scenetree a little bit more organized, too. I plan to add more options to manipulate the tweening and then bug fixes :)

currently working on changing scenes :)
the node for fading in and out of black is always existent and only fades out when the new level child is ready
added some extra delay for testing purposes, the scenes are currently too small to require real loading time

current title screen update!
spend most of the day on the anim of the little stream and started getting more familiar with tweens :)

the past week was pretty art and asset heavy, i plan to focus more on coding next week. i have some scene management stuff in mind that i want to implement, so i'll be spending my weekend working on a pretty title screen :)

not really sure where this is going... am i making a card game?
initially i was just playing around for some menu backgrounds, but now i'm thinking i might include some card mechanic for the fighting... maybe, haha. going for some art nouveau tarot feel here

couldn't find a pixelated font to replace my placeholders, so i guess i'm drawing one myself :D
had to play with the export and #godot import first, now onto lettering!

currently finishing up the inventory functionality. there's already various options for drag n drop (split in half, move one, move all, etc) buut, click and drop still needs some work.

i did not anticipate how much i'd struggle with the idle animation, lol.
this is the third version and it's kinda getting somewhere. i wanted it to be dynamic (not just a simple breathing) but instead it's coming out really wobbly.
