May the memories of Melissa and Mark Hortman be a blessing. My heart and sympathies go out to their children, extended family, and friends. I pray for the Hoffmans’ recovery and hold their family and friends in my heart as well, along with all our colleagues in the Minnesota Legislature.

The murders of State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark and the assassination attempts of State Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette are just beyond the pale.
