I broke my leg last month and now he calls 2x/week to check-in.

No, I can't visit right now but we'll see how things go after PT.

All this said, I have had two unwavering companions throughout this entire ordeal. For the most part, that cat can fuck off but Angus, my baby boy, has stayed with me, asking for very little beyond constant physical contact.

Also Truth: The grief for what I've lost is potent today and I'm struggling. I was on such an upswing before the injury and the very thought of clawing my way back from this abrupt deficit is exhausting.

Truth: While I'm still non-weight-bearing, I'm healing at a remarkable pace. I attended the game last night & my team was so excited to see me. I could feel their joy & relief at seeing me hobble around in good spirits. I was glad to be by the bench, pumping them up between jams, & cheering them on.
