The Joint Action eCAN Plus strengthens digital infrastructure in European cancer centres, enabling better data management, interoperability, and tools to improve prevention, early detection, and patient care throughout the cancer continuum.

The Joint Action on Personalised Cancer Medicine (JA PCM), which officially started this month, aims to make personalised oncology care more accessible across Europe by standardising approaches, sharing best practices, and supporting clinicians and patients.

Three major European cancer projects coordinated by @sciensano.be were showcased on posters at the EUnetCCC Annual Meeting — all working to improve cancer care, accessibility, and innovation across Europe. ⬇️

The Cancer Centre’s Supportive Care Unit presented its work on developing survivorship programmes within EUnetCCC — helping Comprehensive Cancer Centres across Europe better address the long-term needs of cancer survivors.

Our head of service Marc Van den Bulcke chaired the EUnetCCC Policy Board and contributed to key sessions on data, collaboration, and sustainability — highlighting the need to align EU cancer initiatives, strengthen data use, and ensure long-term network viability.

The @sciensano.be's Cancer Centre was strongly represented, with several colleagues contributing through presentations, posters, and panel discussions throughout the event.
