We were glad to join the kick-off of SPARC project in Madrid, to present JA PCM, the new Joint Action on Personalised Cancer Medicine coordinated by @sciensano.be.
🤝 Both #EU4Health actions will work in parallel on #PersonalisedCancerMedicine, to support aligned guidance across Europe.

The next day, our team took part in “Health in Europe: Joint Actions, Joint Future” in Odense. We contributed to exchanges on sustainability and cooperation across Joint Actions, including @ecanplus.bsky.social Plus, JA-ORION and JAPreventNCD. #EU4Health

🇩🇰 Late October, our team joined the workshop “From Joint Actions to Policy” in Vejle, Denmark, organised by the Joint Action PreventNCD.
We discussed turning project outputs into policy-relevant inputs, and presented how policy briefs support the Belgian Cancer Inventory monitoring framework.

Gabrielle Schittecatte took part in a session about the Joint action PreventNCD, highlighting the importance of sustainable implementation of public health actions. She emphasised how accountability is a key concept to apply for lasting knowledge translation.

In this session, Marc presented lessons from the Joint Action PreventNCD in terms of personalised prevention, and how risk stratification, by combining genetic, behavioural, and socio-economic factors enables targeted, equitable interventions.

Our head of service Marc Van den Bulcke participated in the roundtable on the Personalised Prevention Roadmap, organised by PROPHET. Personalised prevention - tailoring interventions to individual risk profiles- is key, as it can delay disease onset and reduce healthcare burdens.
