Here's some pan fried cod with roasted truffle-wasabi asparagus&edemame and soubise.
The truffle and wasabi combo worked really well. Fish could've been taken out earlier. Need to play with the ratio in the soubise a bit more.

Meal preps from the last 2 weeks!
Did some spaghetti, bagel sandos, beef wraps and some turkey rice bowls. All with a side of mandarins and some typa salad.
It has been about a 3 weeks since I properly meal prepping again (and working out). Down nearly 4lbs.

Went to Mission San Juan Capistrano and took a sidetrip to Carlsbad to see the flowers in full bloom.
Took more shots with my phone - I'm thinking of getting a proper camera (maybe Fujifilm); Both for food and for micro and macro photography.

I added in a shrimp head butter and oil mixture as a topping. It added another depth of flavor, although not traditional. I wanted to add apple to balance the acidity (alongside the cucumbers) but I forgot. Tastes amazing.

One of the meals consists of a Filipino peanut curry called Kare-Kare, with a side of white rice and a bit of cucumber. The other meal is steamed beef (inspired by moroccan cuisine) alongside hummus, veggies and pita.

Also realized how good my Cast Iron seasoning is, didn't add a toucb of oil to the pan for the egg.

Some instant noodles (this was Pancit Canton; similar to Indomie - different flavors), two eggs, and pickled Jalapeños.
Was it unhealthy? Yes. Is it the weekend and you're currently not busy? Also Yes.

Went out and got a drink at a speakeasy.
This is called a Queens Fashion, which is the bars play on the Old Fashion. Its nice and fruity but definitely not for everyone. Strong alcohol.
Right next to a nice noodle bar too.

Made burgers! One of the buns I baked the other I bought - just to try it out. I prefer mine, but bias 🤷♂️
I also tried out some frozen potato wedges thats new to our grocer nearby. It tastes great. Paired it with a Salami Jalapeño cheese dip.

Got distracted, accidentally used Potato Starch rather than Rice Flour and THEN forgot to add Baking Soda...
Cut it uo into slices and bamed them - now its brownie-ish like. Nice and Chewy but its not Banana Bread. Salvaged it somewhat.

Made some pies today alongside a hearty chicken parm panuozzo. Dough is great, lots of proper gluten development.
Also ran out of coal and fire during the cook 🥲. Still turned out great, just a bit uneven.
