Any and all solidarity goes out the window the second Disney trots out more furry bait.

He's rocking the single earring on the gay ear.

I'll keep an eye out for it, thanks for letting me know!

I think this is only a one-shot but I want more of the communist opossum and his husband, and I'd love if the story could continue just to see how things evolved with the friend group.

Interesting choice to have the protagonist not wear clothes in his sprite, like a nudity-as-quintessence thing.

With how much things have gotten worse since then, I liked that the story took time to dwell on the importance of community.

Also was whoever responsible for the line a fan of Pride (2014)? It feels like such a weirdly specific pull. Incredibly funny thing to ask an American police officer.

I remember I was booked for a business convention that was starting the day after this happened, and Christina Grimmie had also just been murdered. I was out to my parents at that point and I remember them begging me to not go. Airport security was tight, but probably to nobody's real benefit.

Also a CATASTROPHIC fumble on the part of the protagonist. The way I would be in that plumber's crack

I picked up on the foreshadowing with the ending from when Swift opened Bluesky. That was a cool touch with a seemingly (!) innocuous question from Osgood that let on more than he meant it to.

Notably it DIDN'T happen when the whole [pictured] thing happens, but I think it still works in a consistent sense. Different magnitudes of betrayal ranging from shitty behaviors and attitudes to an outright "you fundamentally cannot be part of this community".

The performativity of this line (however intentional it was) was really sweet. It also helps solidify the gut punch later. Really conveys the sudden presence and loss of community in an effective way.

It's very different from how the trailers depicted it, which I'm thankful for.

He was absent for a few of those episodes too.

Ursula K. Le Guin's Earthsea books might be worth looking into too

I forgot to check this episode when it came out and came across someone talking about it. Dodged a bullet.

It's such a disappointment for them to bring back two(?) critical characters to the franchise in the same episode they launder consent for Israel. The writer is supposedly pro-Palestine too.
