Growing up in the church, I feel like the only things Jesus spoke clearly about were the dangers of those in power and the wealthy. And here we are, the wealthy are in power.

It's going to be a mind numbingly long 4 years.

Let us not grow weary.

And then I realized, it's not that Biden embodies "American values" more than Trump. In our history, there's nothing more American than the robber baron/tycoon/magnate, and government helping him along the way.

These CEOs never cozied up to Biden because by comparison, he was not trying to curry their favor. His administration was more focused on protecting citizens from businesses extracting profit at our individual expense.

It was jarring to see tech leaders attending as honored guests, because I thought they had a duty to be apolitical. But I realized, CEOs are only beholden to their stakeholders. When kowtowing to Trump ensures the government will not meddle, corporations will gladly bend the knee.

I used to really like the Atlantic but am finding more of their recent contributors a bit lacking. Any other sources you'd recommend that are what the Atlantic used to be?

I think the humility with which he approached the subject is remarkable as well. Not "this is junk science" but "maybe there's something I don't understand so I will exercise caution"
