📖 42/25 – Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

One of my favorite books and movies. I always look forward to reading this one and when I’m done I want to read it again! Hermione is a favorite of mine, and I especially love her in this book.

📖 41/25 – Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

I’m not sure why I look at this book and think it’s my least favorite of the series, but I really enjoyed it this time. And despite all my eyerolls at Gilderoy Lockhart, his outrageous character never ceases to amuse me.

📖 40/25 – Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I forgot how easy it was to slip back into this incredible world. I’m so glad I decided to reread this again after five long years.

Also, I absolutely adore the Minalima covers!

It’s my goal to reread the first four Harry Potter books by January 2. Hoping to finish book two today 🤞🏻

The amount of work that Tolkien put into the timelines and chronologies for The Lord of the Rings is breathtaking. I think one of the reasons we love this work so much is because the care and love of the author shines through with every word.

The Case for Jesus by Brant Pitre is fantastic. The author studied Jewish history extensively; learned Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek and Coptic to read ancient source texts; and he uses that knowledge to present evidence that the Gospels are accurate, eyewitness biographies of Jesus.

Decided to decorate our Weeping Norway Spruce with ornaments instead of lights, and now I want a yard full of evergreens to decorate like Christmas trees.

people mad at Tolkien for his lengthy descriptions of trees simply don’t appreciate trees enough

During the rare occasions I have spare time at work, I practice in Illustrator and add to our shop for sale. Anyone need a new Christmas shirt? Created this vintage holiday design yesterday! 🎄

I love book mail! Stumbled upon this a few days ago and realized I need a new Advent devotional this year. It just arrived, and I’m excited to read it!

So begins the morning ritual of waiting for squirrels to descend the trees so she can start barking.

I almost didn’t set out a Christmas village this year, but I’m now glad I did. I honestly can’t stop looking at it. Ordered the Eagle Ridge lodge a few weeks ago, and it’s my favorite.

Any fellow #TheodoreRoosevelt fans? I finally had the chance to watch this 2-part documentary from 2022 and thought it was quite good. I’m very picky about actor portrayals of TR, but Rufus Jones was excellent.

It is quite the fragile god who needs political power to preserve and enforce their will.

It is quite the powerful God who is born in poverty, partners with the poor, washes feet, heals the sick, advocates for the oppressed, is unjustly killed and still changes the entire world.

Seems weird to still have roses and other flowers bloomed out in Kentucky in mid-November, but maybe that’s normal 🤷🏼‍♀️
