yeah! Arcturus is brighter than Vega. one of the top 5 brightest (including the Sun).

I think even from a modern perspective the outers do something slightly different. Though, by the argument I presented at NORWAC, I think I’d have to look at more timing woth modern techniques to draw a fair comparison *nerd emoji*

With 3 there’s a number of combos that activate less than half the chart and are free of either combustion or malefics.

with 4 at least half the chart gets activated through the stellium and there’s only 1 combo that’s free of aforementioned shenanigans.
