The Spy X Family one is part of a series for young learners that includes Hirigana and some early English. The Kinokuniya at the Chicago Mitsuwa had a Donbrothers Hirigana book too, but Zenkaiger is my first Sentai love. I could only find a link for that one.

We're going to Japan in April so I gotta hustle! Having a gazillion resources to learn from works amazing with my ADHD ass. It lets me bounce around when one doesn't work for my brain at that moment.

Here's the apps that I've been using. Renshuu has a TON of resources for learning, but doesn't hold your hand a ton. Japanese! is good for learning kana. Dr. Moku is fine for kana too. Gus Japan and すくすくプラス are literal baby apps but they legit help with expanding vocab and learning to read.

I jumped in with Iago first, that visual novel app. It's ok, but not very sensible in the order it introduces concepts. I've found a lot of success with the Michel Thomas Method - Speak Japanese audio lessons. I have the files from the CDs, it's great for practicing during commutes.

I read a towel that said "Taguchi Japan" in katakana, that's what has me stoked
