I’m having a mid-life crisis involving Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, painting Warhammer models and the like. I follow political and philosophical stuff and I rather like being outdoors when I can.

To be fair it’s still there. Especially in the Mechanicum stuff for Horus Heresy. Necromunda is incredibly fucked up too. I think the main issue is that GW’s paint style is very cartoony. Thankfully the Blanchitsu and Grim Dark painting movements are here to help. :D

I always wrote off Fukuyama as being hoodwinked by Hegelian metaphysical nonsense - much as I think Marx and Engels were. But his closing remarks to The End of History are probably the best summary of where geopolitics in the west has ended up. On this is I think he’s as clearsighted as Ballard.

I did something very similar here with my World Eaters terminators. But added Typhus Corrosion to make the axe teeth look clotted with gore and viscera.

Working on some Age of Sigmar models. This is a Varghulf Courtier from the OG Flesheater Courts Spearhead box. I’ve been playing around with several of the excellent Villainy Inks enamel washes. I’m pretty pleased with the results so far.
