Bone chilling.

A court ordered Kilmar Abrego Garcia to stay in the United States.

The Supreme Court ruled 9-0 that he was illegally removed. Trump is pretending he won the ruling 9-0.

1/ You may not think this case means anything to you. But let me tell you why it does.

Carney: The system of global trade anchored on the United States.. is over. Our old relationship of steadily deepening integration with the United States is over. The 80 year period when the United States embraced the mantle of economic leadership… is over.

Gosh. If only there were an historical analogue we could study to learn about the horrors of rounding people up without due process and sending them to torture camps in other countries.

Canadian MP Charlie Angus: I think Marco Rubio probably needs to be sent back to school.. When you arbitrarily rip up trade agreements, threaten a country, and say you’re going to break it, that’s an act of war. And Canadians have responded in kind.

This should be 25th amendment level conduct. The president ordered water to be released from a random dam in California nowhere near the wildfires and then claimed it would help. That’s literally Mad King behavior.

There appear to be at least three separately operating heel factions breaking things within the government in wholly different ways right now. There's the Miller-headed immigration one, the DOGE/Elon one, and a Project 2025 OMB one. This dynamic hasn't showed up in mainstream reporting at all.

There’s so much about chronic illness that no one prepares you for.

The devastation of realizing the medical system can’t help you.

The pain of being abandoned by friends and family.

The gaslighting from those who refuse to accept the “chronic” part of chronic illness /1 🧵

Non disabled people see the ER as a magical place you go when you’re suffering.

They believe they will be “fixed” and sent home feeling better than before.

People like me know it’s not true. We mourn the loss of the innocence we had when we too believed the hospital was safe 🧵

“If you were really THAT sick you’d be:”

In hospital
Have full time care
Be getting ‘fixed’
Trying harder
Getting financial help
Dead

The list goes on & on.

We ARE that sick & none of these options apply because our systems are broken & ableism is rampant.

Long 🧵

“If you were really that sick you would have more help.”

We’ve all heard it - from those we love & folks who should know better.

People deny the severity of chronic illness while embracing the incorrect notion that help is available.

They can SEE our suffering but they won’t accept it 🧵/1

Everyone believes they’ll be the exception (this literally can’t be true).

They think chronic illness & disability won’t ever happen to them - or IF it does - they will succeed in getting help where others have “failed.”

These beliefs are at the core of why the blame us when we don’t get better 🧵
