Guess what? Webapps running in Firefox can still do this under Linux. Teams screen share works perfectly that way.
Like Copilot Vision, it has to request permission, but it is also very possible for a process to do it covertly. There’s no granular permission system like on Windows or macOS…

no the thinkpad is running MacOS on bare metal, the desktop is running proxmox as a host with MacOS as a guest (that has more than enough ram)

Theres also KDE connect theres a client for Mac, that's what I use, you can share stuff too a folder from android and back to the phone via the services menu in MacOS
