Can I sneak in an Irish plant for #WildflowerHour? The extreme rarity Cottonweed, Achillea (=Otanthus) maritima, from its only British Isles site in dunes in SE Ireland. Incredible silver colour, looks more like a desert plant! One more species to add to namethatplant.org.

Hembra de Amegilla ochroleuca visitando flores de Stachys officinalis para libar néctar, haciendo gala de su vertiginosa velocidad habitual. En promedio se detiene en cada flor un poco menos de un segundo. El polen que lleva cargado es de Hypericum perforatum, que está en flor en los alrededores.

This Loggerhead Turtle was found by a tourist on Lettergesh beach, Rinvyle today. I collected her & brought her half the way down to Dingle Oceanworld Aquarium who specialise in the rehabilitation of sea turtles. 7th Loggerhead to be found in Ireland this year.🤞for a successful recovery.
