If an awful person has a falling out with another awful person, it changes nothing. They both remain awful people. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

For a plethora of reasons, it will be vastly more difficult for Canada to follow that model... but I agree that we have to make every effort to do so.

It's no wonder they had a contingency plan (Scheer and Reid staying in the wings until the last minute) to make the sure the government didn't fall. A December election would've ensured a Liberal majority and completed the downfall of PP.

Our backyard bird feeder, for one thing. This week we have an unusual visitor, a Fox Sparrow who has stopped for a few days on its way south. He (or she, very difficult to tell with this species) defends the feeder very aggressively and chases away all comers, except for bluejays.

SDM and other pharmacy providers made out like bandits during the height of the pandemic, so with the aid of the crooked Ford government, they contrived a method of keeping that cash flow going.

Because Ontario is run by gangsters who, among other things, are in bed with the oil & gas industry.
November 17, 2025 at 6:55 PM
Armed by distractions and dispensing bribes, gangsters have taken over the province, and they continue to solidify their hold on power. Many of the changes being made will be very hard to reverse. Will the people of Ontario ever wake up?
November 17, 2025 at 3:19 PM
With few exceptions, the people of Ontario are blind to this insidious agenda, as the gangsters running the province slowly solidify their power and make it increasingly difficult for their regime to be ended.

Serious answer: the released files are virtually guaranteed to be an ultra-processed nothingburger.

It's always fun to witness a battle of wits being waged against an unarmed man who also happens to be a scumbag.
November 17, 2025 at 2:53 PM
We heard many months ago that the Trump-owned DOJ and FBI were hard at work redacting and/or expunging those files, so their release is certain to be an ultra-processed nothingburger.

Definitely good news. The framing from trillionaire Ego Mush is egregiously wrongheaded, as one would expect.

We don't know if both aircraft were in level flight when the mid-air occurred, but that does seem like the most likely scenario. We're told that the Seminole "landed safely", but no word about any damage to it. If that's what happened, the ruggedness of that landing gear is quite remarkable.

I'm having trouble visualizing a mid-air collision that could sever a wing of the Cessna while leaving the Piper sufficiently intact to make a safe landing... it's sad that a life was lost, but it seems almost miraculous that both aircraft didn't go down.

Inquiring minds want to know... why is BPBI no longer on this platform?

There could be more tonight, but the big event was actually last night, as the geomagnetic storm arrived earlier than predicted. I only saw a glimmer here in Ottawa due to cloud cover, but vivid auroras were seen as far south as Florida & Texas, and even in El Salvador, at 13°N latitude!

Our heat pump provides all of our cooling requirements at a very modest cost, and about 85% of our heat. We still use baseboard in the basement level, which we keep relatively cool in winter and wasn't practical to include in the heat pump conversion.

I would add that a major factor in losing our measles elimination status is a lack of leadership and funding from provincial ministries of health, especially in Alberta and Ontario, where policies are driven more by ideology than science.

I think there is a fundamental dichotomy here. The Venn diagram between those who are driven to accumulating vast wealth, and those who possess the qualities of empathy, altruism, and humanism, tends to be vanishingly small.

Same. I've had many great visits to the US (most recent in 2024) and there's many more places I'd like to visit, but it's now a no-go zone. My wife and I are especially fond of Hawaii and thought of returning there for a big upcoming anniversary, but instead we'll be island-hopping in the Caribbean.

This study reinforces the importance of keeping up with covid vaxs (+ doing so more frequently than annual). It also illustrates the limitations of the vax-only strategy for dealing with covid that was adopted for political and economic reasons. Wise people continue to take additional precautions.
