I don't know who needs to read this but for fux sake stop saying "half the country voted for this." It's roughly 36%. 36% of the country's population voted for this and until you see a poll showing numbers drop to 20% or less in support of what's happening then nothing has changed.

Ok, this is seriously sus. I've had now 4 accounts follow me that fit this profile (hundreds of follows/no followers/1-3 posts in a cluster and they are all following accounts that follow @katmabu.bsky.social I've just been blocking them but it's very strange.

So I'm noticing a new thing. I follow a politician and within minutes I get a stray follow from someone with only a couple of posts and a one sentence generic bio, hundreds of accounts followed. All of those accounts they follow also just followed that politician. So clearly I'm on some lists now.

Here is what scares me most about the sudden shift to eliminate vaccines. Once the pool of un-vaccinated goes high enough we loose the secondary benefit of surpression of mutations. Once mutations increase they risk invalidating what vaccines we had and then we're in worse shape than before.

Homestuck pilot is up. I'm nervous on how they're going to capture such a nebulous and incoherent story into an animated series and there's just no way this is going to last long enough to cover the entire OG story. I'll have to grit myself that this will be a cliff hanger ending from the get go.

Interesting observation. So traffic over the last year to the Game Zero archive had been tanking severely. Not as bad as when Wikipedia purgred the page but noticable. I recently got the server upgraded to support HTTPS and wow it's showing it's now getting traffic again.

From "The Invisible Boy" (1957). In the movie when they suspect the AI has gone rogue, they set up a standalone system to review the 29 years of training inputs to evaluate for anomalies. They discover "7 loaded answers over 29 years" that allowed the supercomputer to jailbreak itself (~1hr mark).

McDowall is a delight as an odd curator living with a corpse, and evoking a killer golem. Endearingly bonkers fun and Jill Haworth's always a joy. 1967.
