Today is the anniversary of Brian Wilson recording the famous "Fire" track for the SMiLE sessions, back on November 28, 1966. He brought in a bucket of burning wood into the studio to set the mood, and smoked a ton of hashish. Plus a building across the street burned down shortly thereafter.

RIP Andy Paley. You were a great collaborator (and friend) to my biggest hero, and composed a lot of great music over the years. Kids that grew up to Camp Lazlo, SpongeBob, and Ren & Stimpy knew you without knowing you.
