The Trump Administration is once again failing to do its job — and California is cleaning up their mess.

We're deploying state resources to protect the 2,000-year old sequoias on FEDERAL LANDS from the wildfires the federal administration are supposed to handle.
Garnet fire burns into grove of giant sequoias; several behemoths are in flames.

Update: RFW was cancelled this AM due to marginal winds, though elevated risk risk still anticipated this week! Stronger offshore wind event possible next week...stay tuned. #CAwx #CAfire

As extremely dry (record dry, in some cases) start to "rainy season" in SoCal continues, the NWS in Los Angeles has issued a Red Flag Warning for low humidity/modest offshore winds (overlapping New Year's Eve fireworks--usually more of a 4th of July problem!). #CAwx #CAfire
